APPROACHES

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of presence, non-judgment and curiosity. The mind works to evaluate, analyze, make conclusions and work off of heuristics. This creates a passivity of mind that can only be counteracted with mindfulness. Mindfulness is not about controlling our mind, it’s about accepting it and re-orienting our relationship to it.

Narrative Reconstruction
Our internal dialogue either constrains or facilitates growth. The narrative approach approach identifies, labels and corrects cognitive distortions that hold us back from reaching our potential. Narrative exploration is an excellent way to target internalized narratives that do not align with our true sense of self, but that have been adopted through socialization.

Existentialism
It is essential that purpose and meaning are created in our lives to experience high well-being. This must be done in the face of existential parameters: death, loss, being, nothing, fate, free will, etc. Without the confrontation with these universal truths of human life, the mind and body will remain out of sync with reality. This approach is key for self-actualization and self-transcendence.

Psychedelic Therapy
Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms) and LSD ‘loosen’ the attitudes, stories, and beliefs about who we are and who we can be. In this period of malleability, targeting and adjusting maladaptive behaviors becomes paramount to create neuroplasticity and change baseline modes of thinking, feeling and acting. Medium-large dose sessions are between 6-9 hours, with two preparation sessions before the experience and 4 integration sessions in the weeks following the session. My role is to guide, promote safety, and maximize therapeutic potential.
